Executive Producer

Jeffrey Latimer has produced and managed live theatre, musical productions, artists and events in Canada for the past 16 years. His company, based in Toronto is set up to develop and create, produce, present and manage the best in live entertainment and events.

Jeffrey’s first two theatrical productions, Closer Than Ever (1991) and Forever Plaid (1993) both won awards for Best Musical in Toronto). The success with Forever Plaid soon became a national phenomenon with three productions running; Toronto (4 years), Vancouver (2 years) and a two year national tour that visited over 70 towns and cities in Canada. Jeffrey’s success with Forever Plaid led to a two year run of “I Love You your Perfect Now Change” and the operation of the New Yorker Theatre for the next 11 years.

Jeffrey had the honour of bringing 96 year-old legend George Burns to Toronto's O'Keefe Centre in 1992. Other projects as producer in Toronto, Vancouver and across Canada include sitdown and touring productions of Closer Than Ever, Stomp, Forever Tango, High Life, Late Nite Catechism, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Gross Indecency--The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, Ladies Night!, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, Forever Swing (Michael Buble’s first commercial show-also produce the CD), If You Ever Leave Me, I'm Going With You starring Joseph Bologna and Renee Taylor and Grease, legendary Bea Arthur in Just Between Friends and Cookin At The Cookery.

Jeffrey has produced many events including INCO’s one hundredth anniversary show at the Air Canada Centre and for many years - First Night Toronto’s New Years celebration.

Jeffrey’s show Evil Dead1&2, The Musical, that received worldwide attention at the Just for Laughs Festival, has since opened in NYC ran at Toronto’s Diesel Playhouse (a theatre opened and named by Jeffrey for Evil Dead. Over 140 shows and events ran in the Diesel in its 3 year life). After a successful run of Evil Dead in Korea in 2008 we will see Evil Dead opening in Japan, Germany and other international destinations with smaller versions opening across the US. The next Canadian production will open in Calgary in 2009 and a 3D film version is in negotiations.

Jeffrey was Director of Business Development for The Second City (helping launch their new theatre in Toronto) and currently runs strategic partnerships for Just For Laughs Festival in Toronto. Jeffrey produces Rob Becker’s Defending the Cavemen in Canada with producing partner Natalie Bartello. They have a new production of “Caveman” opening in Quebec in French this year.

Jeffrey, Linda Barnett and Natalie Bartello formed April 30th Entertainment to create new family based musicals. They are currently developing “Queen For A Day – The Musical”, a new musical based on the first ever reality TV show, ABC's 1950’s hit “Queen For A Day”.

Jeffrey’s charity work is vast. Including - The second year Chair of The ONEXONE Foundation headed by Matt Damon, Sick Kids Foundation, The Jays Care Foundation, Chairman of Ron White’s “White Knight Foundation” for Free The Children and others. .

Jeffrey is manager for the Canadian Tenors. Their debut CD’s was released in late 2008 and they are currently performing around the world.
